It’s McRib season. But will fans in KC — where the sandwich debuted — see them?
The popular sandwich will be released in only certain markets nationwide. McDonald's has confirmed that it will be the annual McRib season, with a limited run in select cities starting next week in Dallas, Miami, Chicago, Atlanta, Los Angeles and Philadelphia. The sandwiches will be available in greater Kansas City, St. Joseph and Lawrence beginning Tuesday. However, some metro McDonald's have already soft-launched them at four locations. Fans submit receipts to the website to verify their purchases, and customers can also check the McDonald's app to see which locations have them. This year, McDonald's has partnered with Dr. Pepper to promote the sandwich with an old-school McRIB Hotline, 866-627-4208.
