Colts QB Anthony Richardson Sr. reportedly charged with marijuana possession

A bench trial has been scheduled for Jan. 4, 2027. Anthony Richardson Sr. of the Indianapolis Colts, Anthony Richardson Sr., is facing a misdemeanor charge for possession of marijuana following an Oct. 12 traffic stop in Kansas City, Missouri. The charges were filed a week after police stopped Richardson's black 2023 Dodge Charger, whose registration was reportedly expired. Richardson admitted to smoking marijuana in the car and possessing a small amount of marijuana. He was also cited for the expired registration. A hearing was scheduled for Dec. 9 but has since been waived and a bench trial will be held on Jan. 2027. Richardson is the second Colts player to face charges this season, with wide receiver Keenan Allen recently facing two misdemeanors for suspicion of driving under the influence.
