Wichita airport’s new nonstop flights to this popular city are starting early
“The earlier launch reflects the strength of that partnership and Southwest’s continued investment in the Wichita market.” Wichita Dwight D. Eisenhower National Airport has announced that its new nonstop service to Nashville International Airport (BNA) is starting early, two months earlier than planned. The first direct flight was originally scheduled for mid-March, but has been moved up to January 6, 2027. The new route will connect south-central Kansas to Nashville’s music scene, award-winning dining, professional sports, and business community. The cheapest one-way, nonstop flight from Wichita cost $149 for a basic seat. The airport is also targeting a new nonstrict route to the East Coast with a $1 million grant from the U.S. Department of Transportation's Small Community Air Service Development Program.
