A 56-year-old man is dead following a motorcycle crash along State Route H, just east of Liberty, Missouri.The Clay County Sheriff's office says deputies were called to a fatal crash in the 2100 block of State Route H around 8:53 p.m. on June 8. Deputies located a single-vehicle crash involving a motorcycle that had left the roadway and overturned. They performed CPR on the motorcycle’s occupant, 56-year-old Steven Hoyes of Liberty. Emergency Medical Services then arrived at the scene and transported Hoyes to a local hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.The sheriff's office says their initial investigation indicates that alcohol may have played a strong factor in the fatal crash.
