Wichita airport named one of the best by USA Today readers. Why travelers love it
July 2026 was the airport’s busiest month ever with a record 99,583 passengers flying out of Wichita. Wichita Dwight D. Eisenhower National Airport (ICT) has been named one of the 10 best small airports in the country by USA Today. The airport was praised for its parking facilities, ease of security, cleanliness, rental car facilities, and concessions. It was also named the third-best small airport in 2020, No. 8 in 2021, No., No. 3 in 2023, No.: 6 in 2024, and No.8 in 2025. The third quarter of 2026 marked another milestone for ICT, continuing a year of impressive passenger growth and strong demand for air travel in south-central Kansas.
