Former Kansas City Chiefs fan, Carson Steele, has been removed from injured reserve by the Philadelphia Eagles, clearing the way for him to become a free agent once healthy. The Eagles had promoted Steele to the active roster earlier in the month due to injuries in their backfield, but the shoulder issue led to him being waived/injured, reverting to IR, and now released via settlement. Steele signed with Kansas City as an undrafted free agent in 2024 and quickly became a fan favorite. He made the initial 53-man roster as a fullback, playing in all 17 games as a rookie and earning Pro Bowl alternate consideration among fullbacks. The Chiefs waived him in final roster cuts ahead of the 2025 season and re-signed him to the practice squad.
