‘Not the reason he was put on IR’: Chiefs’ Andy Reid addresses report about spat with LT Josh Simmons
Kansas City Chiefs coach Andy Reid addressed the latest twist in starting left tackle Josh Simmons’ rocky tenure with the team after Sunday's loss in Seattle. Josh Simmons' tenure with the Chiefs has been rocky, with a season-ending knee injury at Ohio State that reportedly pushed him down draft boards and into the Chiefs' hands. Despite being considered the top offensive tackle prospect in the 2025 NFL Draft, Simmons has struggled with injury and a disagreement with coach Andy Reid. He was reportedly asked to leave a team meeting midweek due to a disagreement. Despite this, Reid insists that this is not the reason he was put on IR. Former Chiefs offensive lineman Jeff Allen suggested the incident seemed strange and suggested there was more to the story.
