A driver was killed in a crash on Blue Parkway in Kansas City early Saturday morning after a speeding Mercedes ran off the road and veered off the right side of the road, causing it to veer down an embankment and hit a tree before coming to rest in a ravine. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The car's identity has not yet been released. The Kansas City Police Department has stated that this is the 57th fatal crash investigated so far in 2026, compared to 54 at the same point in 2025.
