Chicago White Sox vs. Kansas City Royals Prediction, Preview, and Odds - 4-5-2024

Can Brady Singer continue his hot start as he faces the Chicago White Sox? The Chicago White Sox and the Kansas City Royals are set to play in a second AL Central game at Kauffman Stadium. Righty Erick Fedde will pitch for the White Sox, while right-hander Brady Singer will for the Royals. The White Sox are expected to be one of the worst teams in the league due to their lack of talent. The Royals have been performing well, with a.586 team OPS and scoring only 2.00 runs per game, while their team on base percentage is below the league average. Despite this, Robert Robert, a renowned sports betting expert, has predicted that the Royals will win this game as a better option.

The Chicago White Sox (1-4) are ready to take on the Kansas City Royals (2-4) in AL Central action in the second of four games against one another inside Kauffman Stadium. The Royals were able to dominate on Thursday as they picked up a 10-1 home win in the series-opening game. Righty Erick Fedde will be on the mound for the White Sox while right-hander Brady Singer takes the ball for the Royals.

The Chicago White Sox are expected to be one of the worst teams in the league with their talent not being on the roster right now. Their offense has been terrible in the early stages of the year as they are 27th in the bigs with a .586 team OPS and scoring only 2.00 runs per game while only having six home runs in five games. They have been been struggling to get on base as their .260 team on base percentage is dead last in the majors. With Eloy Jimenez dealing with a left adductor injury, they need players like left fielder Andrew Benintendi to step up but he is just 3-for-25 with zero extra base hits and a run scored. The White Sox are sending righty Erick Fedde to the mound and he is looking to build off his season debut. He did not factor into the decision against the Detroit Tigers as he pitched 4.2 innings and gave up two runs on five hits with one walk and seven strikeouts. Fedde played in the KBO last season and pitched to a 2.00 ERA with 209 strikeouts in 180.1 innings and won their equivalent of the Cy Young. This is a completely different level on the offensive side of the sport so it will be intriguing to see how he looks in this game.

Royals are Ready to Take the Next Step The Kansas City Royals have a lot of good players and are ready to be competing for the AL Central crown. The Royals have been hitting pretty well as the team has a .247/.298/.456 slash line while averaging a great 4.86 runs per game up to this point. They have been hitting for a lot of power thus far as the team has hit 11 home runs up to this point in seven games. Shortstop Bobby Witt Jr. has been off to an amazing start as he is 12-for-28 with two home runs, two RBIs, seven runs scored and a pair of steals on five attempts. Brady Singer has been one of the better young pitchers in the entire sport as he was able to pitch a seven-inning shutout in a win over the Minnesota Twins. He gave up three hits, a pair of hit by pitches, one walk and 10 strikeouts. Singer faced Chicago three times last season and was 0-1 in 16.1 innings and allowed 13 runs on 23 hits with five walks and eight strikeouts. He buckled down at home last season as he pitched to a 4.45 ERA last season inside Kauffman Stadium compared to a 7.18 ERA on the road. Singer should be able to step up as he looks great coming into this season and is a sneaky Cy Young candidate.

This Kansas City Royals team has shown to have a pulse while we cannot say the same thing for the Chicago White Sox. Brady Singer looked outstanding in his first game and Erick Fedde had a decent game but could not provide enough length. The White Sox are hitting .193 as a team thus far while the Royals are hitting .247 thus far. Go with the Kansas City Royals to win this game as the better option. Want a second opinion on this pick? Visit WinnersAndWhiners.com These bullpens struggled right now as the White Sox are 16th in the majors with a 4.50 bullpen ERA while the Royals are dead last with an 8.04 reliever ERA up to this point. Both teams are aggressive but I do not see Erick Fedde being able to pitch 5+ innings. Fedde missed all of 2023 so he essentially is a wild card and it’s going to be difficult as in 2022 he had a .293 batting average against. This Royals team can hit well and control the outlook of these offenses. Expect some late runs to put the over as the better play.
