KANSAS CITY, Kan. — An Ambassador from NASA will join eclipse-viewers at Legends Outlets to view the rare solar eclipse.

According to the Legends Outlets, 1843 Village West Parkway, NASA Ambassador Danielle Joines will be at The Lawn at Legends Outlets, 1843 Village West Pkwy., to answer questions and give partygoers information and interesting facts about the solar eclipse.

A total solar eclipse, or the “Great North American Eclipse,” will trace a narrow path of totality from Texas to Maine. While Kansas City is not in the path of totality - a 100% eclipse - the city will still get to witness a partial eclipse - 89% - which is still a rare and special experience.

Eclipse glasses will be provided for attendees’ safety. Due to limited quantities, glasses will be given on a first-come, first-served basis. NASA’s live feed will also be put on the big screen to provide live views of the eclipse from several locations in its path.
